Market Design:

Market design is when a community (with the same religious, racial, and cultural background) creates a Market to design their community's consumption, accelerate their business growth, impart opportunities, and to enter into world markets and global trade together.

What is Market Design?

Market Design is a collaborative strategy rooted in a fundamental principle: human beings can at anytime design future markets, because collectively human beings are the Market.

The goal of Market Design is to not only empower one’s community to meet the needs of their people but to ultimately engage the world in Mutually Beneficial Trade. Market Design wishes to ensuring every human being has free and fair access to opportunities and business growth through a market within their network. Market Design should always begin within one's own community, engaging the talent, ideas, and businesses in designing a future market with the goal of creating market efficiency, which is the key to wealth creation.

Market Design Creates Wealth:

When Market Design is successful, wealth in a community accelerates.

It is Market efficiency that is the real power behind Market Design. Efficiency in production and consumption is what creates wealth for the community. When Market Design is well thought out, it reduces the cost to start a business and significantly reduces the cost to obtain and repeatedly sell to customers. This efficiency is created through culturally relevant experiences that the community designs. Again, the goal of Market design is to create pleasurable experiences in the market, limiting as much friction as possible and accelerating the businesses through efficiency found within that Market. This is how Market Design creates wealth in communities.

Desiging Future Markets.

In Market Design we design future wealth by collaborating with our businesses to design joint customer experiences. This simple collaboration strategy provides a blueprint of a future Market. With this blueprint, we can continue to design to improve the cycle of production, consumption within our community. This collaboration happens online or offline in Design Labs before any market is made live, allowing the community to improve the design creating market efficiency.

To make this process simple, we created The Design Tree, which organizes your business community all in one place and walks each business through a step-by-step process. The Design Tree makes use of whiteboard technology and the interplay of customer storytelling to design markets. This strategy gives the entire community a visual of their collective Market allowing the group to brainstorm ways to design and refine their market. In addition this strategy allow for the community to collaborate to help design and refine each individual business within the market.

When we think of this type of collaboration, we immediately think of a local Market/Bazaar in a central place where the community's goods and services are purchased. Although this is Market Design, we should also have a larger perspective. When we say Markets we should think of the Stock Market/Wall Street. This is not just one local place, but it maybe a collection of places or a place online.

Markets a Divine Calling.

Finally, when we examine the story of the Prophets, we see through each story the foundations were being laid for the believers to succeed businesses, markets, and trading. For example, King Sulayman’s (s.a.w) and the Prophet Muhammad's (s.a.w) religious empires heavily relied on business, markets, and trade as their source of power, and surprisingly, both utilized the same ancient trade routes created thousands of years prior, when Hajjar (s.a.w), with the help of Allah, built the well of Zamzam in Mecca. When we look closely, we see clearly that within the background of each of the Prophet’s stories, the foundation was being laid for future believers to engage the world in businesses, markets, and trade.

It is through business, markets and trade that we can impact the world.  Charity and non-profit programming are beautiful, but charity can not change the world. Charity and non-profit programming is often a band-aid to malicious monopolies in the world that create social and economic harm and poverty. Often financed and encouraged by the same people who are responsible for creating the poverty, and social economic harm. More importatly business, market and trade empowers the community to sustain their charitable efforts, just as the Prophet (s.a.w) taught.

Through Market Design we can get at the heart of these malicious economic practices and heal the world. We know our spiritual development is our greatest competitive advantage because righteousness, honesty, and fair dealings are primary ingredients in market efficiency. Righteous people through Market Design can create new economic cycles that are fair and just. Our goal as believers is to create the conditions for Mutally Beneficial Exchange spreading peace and prosperity all over the globe.
